Having represented Malaysia at youth level, Subri bin Ku Zainol may finally be the man to take Ola Martinsson's spot at the forefront of Grilled, though that probably has as much to do with the legend's advancing years as Subri's own considerable talent.

He is also, somewhat surprisingly, Grilled's first Malaysian player.

Subri also came to represent one of Grilled's best transfer deals to date, arriving for less than two million in his prime, and leaving for more than double that at 33 years of age. Had Grilled been as successful in their other dealings, they would surely be awash in cash.
